You're reading If you could go back in time, and say one thing to your past self, what would it be, and what time in your life would you go back to? Would your past self believe it, think they were crazy, or something else?

I have a similar story. My jerk of an ex-girlfriend, and also the one whom I lost my virginity to, she turned out to be an ex-prostitute and that she had hepatitis C. I got my blood examinations done three months after I dumped her, expecting the worst - but thankfully I was clean, not only of that but any other STD - considering her former profession I can only attribute my not being infected with anything to be divine providence.
The worst thing is, she revealed she had hepatitis C - after an accident involving a broken condom! How was I, a person who is usually fairly intelligent, naive enough to fall for her in the first place? Probably the fact she was ten years older than me (I was 21, she was 30 going on 31 - I wish I were making that up), but still looked young-ish and attractive, she was Eurasian but of the sort that looks more Caucasian in complexion (she had auburn hair and green eyes). I'm just thankful she and I didn't conceive, otherwise I'd still be with her out of obligation to the child.
Hopefully my next girlfriend, if any, will be someone with far better morals than at least that.
