Help answer this question below.

Why do so many men fall into the trap of the TV series "Dateline-To Catch a Predator"? Don't they realize that a young girl doesn't always invite old men over for sex?

    I personally know someone who was arrested in a sting like this in NY. I doubt it was recorded or televised but he was arrested in a parking lot of a shopping center. He was like 27 years old at the time and the "girl" who he was chatting with and planned to meet was 14. I don't know if he ever engaged in statuatory rape with anyone but his intent was certainly not wholesome. They printed his name and address in the newspaper which is bad enough. He had some mental issues prior to this event and was being treated for depression so maybe it helped him avoid prosecution. I see him on a regular basis and although I believe he is probably on the straight and narrow now, he probably still has these perverted desires he must battle.
