I know rabbits can live outside, but I'm afraid they will die of the cold. How much cold can they handle and how can I insulate the hutch?

How would u feel if you were forced to sit in a cage with fur wen it was was really hot out? you prolly woldnt like to be out in the freezing cold either. I would never put my rabbit outside. Other animals can come a knocking to harass your bunny at night and scare them.

    • Best to have a sheet of thick insulating material over the hutch that can drop down over the front at night, so that the rabbits are shielded visually from any passing animal

    • yeah it was real hot so the bunny was put outside in his hutch within his run, but my parents were awakened by it screaming and screaming as a raccoon was trying to get at it.

    • Im so glad someone said that!
We get these animals and then stick them in a cage in freezing weather or extreme heat, in the wild they can dig holes to live in and do many other things to keep themselves warm/cold!
Keep your bunny inside on cold days and hot days!!!
If there water bottle freezes it's way to cold
