You're reading Does anyone know what muscles are worked when you do the freestyle or crawl during swimming? How about the breast stroke?

Thank you! I really want to use that swimming stroke that works the shoulders, since that is the area I want to develop.

Didn't realize you were serious about this. You can go to www.usaswimming.org or www.clubswim.com to see if there's a swim club at your location. You can definitely get more advice and tips on improving your technique from them. Also remember that when working on a particular set of muscles, make sure to work the antagonists (those muscles doing the opposite actions), too so that you don't develop muscle imbalance.
