Who invented spinning rims/hubcaps?

    I'm in Australia and we don't have them, thank goodness, but from the motoring magazines I've read it looks like they originated in Mexico, like bouncing suspension and sparklers out the back.

    • We actually do have Spinning Rims in South Australia and they did not originate in Mexico

    • Do you, so where did they originate from ? I'm really interested, because I have an article that gives Mexico as the place of origin, although they would be most likely made in China. Why would you mark me down for my answer, I just don't get it..!
