Ladies, have you ever wondered why we can't be like hens and lay eggs and sit on them til our children hatch?

You're reading If you and your husband were trying to have children and you couldn't, and then suddenly one day you got raped and got pregnant from it... would you keep the baby? Why or why not?

Don't think the gene pool has anything to do with it hon, there's absolutely no evidence that the child would be the same. Given the fact that some of us on this thread have been downrated and attacked for much milder opinions I'm worried about you!!!!
For me it is not about the uncertain gene pool, it is about both my own feelings and ultimately the feelings of the child. I personally couldn't go ahead.

I'm not suggesting that the child would be like the father. What I'm saying is that having children should be a privilege and a positive action by both parents, and I don't see why anybody should be allowed to have a child by forcing somebody else to bear that child against their will.

while thats true, the child is innocent and is a victim itself. It would take a strong person to look beyond the rape and see a child for what it is, another human being, who as every opportunity to do something great with his/her life. My .2 cents.

I agree with you, ICU. It's not fair to punish an innocent child for someone else's crimes.
