    I'd like to add:

While screen savers were originally designed to address the problem of monitor burn-in, this problem was solved on monitors many years ago. So, in essence, a screen saver is now nothing more than visual entertainment. It does absolutely nothing to help your computer - in fact, it can interfere with the normal operation of some functions, like defragmentation.
