It's hard to differentiate between what you've inherited and what you've been socialized to. You need to find cases such as where a person was adopted but their birth parents are known to be able to compare how the birth child differs from the birth parents as compared to the adopted parents. There's good evidence that you do inherit predispostitions from your biological parents, but that how you're raised affects how you display and deal with your emotions.
