Should I spank my 15 year old son for stealing? I made him return the item he took, but I don't think he really cared.

a spanking is done incorrectly if it is diplayed as hitting. a good swat on the butt makes the child think. you dont do it every time they do something you dont approve of, butsometimes its the most effective way

to most people's mind discipline=punishment. To my mind discipline= teaching kids and people,( because discipline is for all, not just kids.) How to communicate with their tounge. Not their hands. If they have to use their hands, then the other person is going to use his hands as well. No one is going to let you harm them. If they have to, they will harm you first. But all this can be prevented, if we truly learn to forgive, and accept the fact, that nothing will ever be perfect, no matter what we do. And if we start being "people centered" over "justice centered". Justice alone is no good. If it is not ensuring the safety of others, no matter how bad they may have behaved. It's totally worthless. And our values, are supposed to make as happy. If they are not making sure we are happy. We can change them. And we should. Love however, even love alone, can help us become our own miracle.
