Are there any statistics on the benefits of using a realtor to sell your home verses selling it yourself

    I don't know about statistics for that, but I can say from much experience that you should try to sell it yourself first...Realtors generally try to charge you 6% of the sale price for their fee. All you have to do to sell yourself is get the proper paper work and contracts. Which, whoever wants to buy the home from you, you can have them get all that from their lending agency.

    • I agree! If you actually figure it out it is higher than 6%. You take 6% for the realtor the total purchase price of your house but you still have to pay off your mortgage and all your other expenses in some cases it could be more than 20%.
