    If you mean, is it time for Americans to look up and find a new hero to love, rather than the same ones they've generally loved the last fifty years? Then I'd say Iron Man may be that new hero- not that he's a new character, but until the recent movie he wasn't really well known.

    If you mean, is it time for a new superhero to be created in the comics- well, there are plenty of new superheroes every year! A relatively new one I'd highly recommend is Invincible!
