Help answer this question below.

When I listen to a friend's CD of my favorite worship songs, a rush of euphoria flows through me. Yet when I listen to the exact same music downloaded from Kazaa, onto my PC, I don't feel the same feelings at all. Why is this?

    If you feel you have illegally downloaded something, and you are feeling God's conviction through your conscience, that may be interfering with your freedom to worship.

    Our conscience is a wonderful and necessary thing that God has given us. It is much like the nerve endings in our hands, fingers, feet, etc. If those pain receptors and nerve endings did not work, we wouldn't know when we burn and puncture ourselves; and eventually we would introduce all manner of infections into our body. Ultimately we would kill ourselves. The conscience is our spirit's "nerve endings."

    I appreciate your honesty, and would think that you may already have known this answer when you asked, but you still did in sincerity. Perhaps you can simply borrow the CD sometime. Or better yet buy your own. The $14-15 dollars is a bargain for a clear conscience.

    • ummm... while what you say has a moral basis, there is also a rational explanation. Mp3's are compressed. they lose much in the process, and this is merely the result.
