Mrs.mezzo is a Wagnerian soprano

Question

Help answer this question below.

If the ability to recall things you've read or seen is photographic memory, is there a term for being able to recall things you hear? (and yes, I know photographic memory has been widely debunked-just curious to see if there's an aural counterpart)

sometimes if i was looking at a certain object while hearing a certain sound(i.e. the TV) and i see that object again, i remember the sound(or vice versa). i dont know if there is a name for audible memory though, i pressume it is linked to photgraphic memory?

    • It's because your mind associates the two because they were experienced together. And so when you think of one, you naturally recall the other. It's how your memory works :)
