Yes, I'm not what the specific law is for NY. You may either be the given the full points that you get for the same ticket in NY, or what I got. On my NJ license after recieving a speeding ticket in Pennsylvania instead of getting the 4 points my ticket would have been worth, I got an "Out of state violation" violation. Which was worth 2 points.
Can civilians issue speeding tickets?
