Help answer this question below.

If we can build a passenger aircraft capable of antipodal range (12,000nm including reserves??), will it have any practical commercial value? Would a non-stop "kangaroo" range (LHR-SYD) bothways be sufficient?

    It would open up a few more routes (JFK-SYD, for example) but not enough to really justify building it. Really, the next big leap will be fuel efficiency.
