You're reading What's you thought on the group PETA? Are the pics/movies they show really of animals that are being abused, ect?
Comments
+6 definitely. Best answer so far. Are you actually a PETA member?
by anonymous on January 31st, 2007
Yes, indeed. For nearly 20 years.

thats great. Not too many people actually care about animals enough.
by anonymous on February 1st, 2007
I dont think that PETA does enough. I like the ALF plan better. FREE THE ANIMALS!!!

Sorry, but I have looked into it myself, and honestly, it didn't look very good. Coming from someone who prioritizes what's best for all of the planet's inhabitants over what will benefit the humans.

Misunderstood: How did you become a member of the A.L.F.? I would love to, but I can never find much about it other than the "mission statements" and things like that, I know its kind of a sensitive organization and subject to talk about for those who know who they actually are. Please E-Mail and give me some details on membership, and such. My email address is in my profile.

You also wrote on another comment that you would like to do something "more" extreme. Definitely E-Mail me.

Green peace or the World wildlife fund have actually accomplished far more than PETA ever will in regards to animal rights. As for actual animal welfare, PETA has done next to nothing. Where are their shelters?

Swabby429, thanks for being open about caring, and trying to do something about it!

I guess nobody seems to care that PETA put down 95% of the animals in it's care last year? 95%...that's higher than shelter's that have a kill policy. Sending them money doesn't seem to be saving animals.

The link to the PETA slaughter is here, http://www.consumerfreedom.org/pressRelease_detail.cfm/release/258
On that page is more than substantial proof that PETA is doing it's job. Killing pets and anything resembling a pet. They'd like to kill my captive born parrot. I'm not happy with that. My parrot isn't either. My cat, dog and three horses also fall under their death penalty. Their crime? Their species were domesticated. They live with us. Hey...come to think of it, wouldn't that be a right? My parrot is not caged and free flys, my cat roams where he wishes, my dog and cat live together, although admittedly the pound puppy ( who PETA would have killed) is bounded by an invisible fence. The hay burners? They're cool as long as they're fed, petted and taken for a ride.
The criminals are PETA. Taking away something they don't want to try to understand. Humans are responsible for domestication. We also should take responsibility for the welfare of those we domesticated.

Not kill them simply because thousands of years ago, human kind took in animals as companions or tools. PETA may think they are for animal rights. Fine...why don't they ask those animals they wish killed? Where is that "animal right"? By human decision? That's like holding an election but having the winner declared beforehand. PETA now reads animal minds and decides for them? Isn't that the antithesis for what they stand for? Ohh..yeah..there's other words, they're called hypocrisy and greed for the money it generates.
