Women: How many of you started planning your wedding as a child? Did you ever have the wedding you dreamed of?

    No, I never planned on getting married. I work with a couple of 18-year olds - neither of whom have a boyfriend - who often chat about what they're going to have at their wedding, which amuses me no end. I married my first husband in 1967 when I was 8 months pregnant, and wore a blue linen outfit which somehow I managed to squeeze into. There were 10 people at the service. No reception, no honeymoon. After divorcing, I remarried in 1981 and had a terrific casual wedding which was the talk of the town for ages! Alas, still no wedding dress, still no honeymoon. Just as well I wasn't counting on it!
