Help answer this question below.

We want to transfer ownership of our home that is with a real estate agent, to a family member. Does the transfer end the agrement with the agent and the company they work for? No money is changing hands.

    I would check in the contract you signed with the agent to be sure, as there might be a clause that even in a transfer situation, the appraised value of the home could be stipulated unto their commission even if no money was transacted in the situation. Look into a trust agreement maybe to where one recieves the home in trust until your passing, but still has rights to have ownership till then without you having to do any property paperwork, or deeds, it might help in this situation...Peace!
