    Different bridge pins DO make a different in the sound of an acoustic guitar. They won't make a KMart "Blue Light Special" sound like a Martin; but they will alter the character of a guitar somewhat. (especially on a quality-made, solid-top guitar)

    Anything that touches the strings directly will alter the sound of a guitar to one degree or another. A different nut, bridge, bridge saddles, pins, fret materials, fingerboard materials...
