Hell is the Christian concept of a place that a soul would go to if it has sinned enormously throughout its lifetime. Another reason the soul may reside in hell is if it had not been completely faithful to god or christ.
For all of those who say that "Hell isn't for sinners -it's for those who choose life w/o God", well then, how exactly do you propose we get there? As I'm sure most non-believers would agree, you can't go to a place you don't believe exists. I say this because hell is a CONCEPT!
Hell is not a place that everyone KNOWS exists, humans can believe that hell exsists, but that doesn't make it true. Some person may go around believing "the world is flat", but that doesn't make it true.
If you don't believe me, then go and find a non-believer for yourself, and ask them if they think hell exsists. Don't be surprised if they say no.
So, I leave you by saying that hell is a concept, and some may choose to believe that it does indeed exsist, or they may not. It's all up to them.

    • Incorrect. Hell is not a concept in scripture; it is reality. Even scriptural concepts are better than a "concept" by you.

    • TulsaDavid, she is correct. Hell IS a concept, you give me proof that Hell is real and maybe then I'll consider it but until then Hell is FAR from a reality.. .and correction to this answer Hell isn't just a Christian concept, there is a Hell in Hinduism as well but it is temporary

    • "As I'm sure most non-believers would agree, you can't go to a place you don't believe exists." "humans can believe that hell exsists, but that doesn't make it true." Ok, let me get this straight... Believing something doesn't exist means that it can't hurt you, but believing it does exist means absolutely nothing? What a bunch of gorbellied bat-fowling nonsense. You speak with such bias and your lips spew stupidity. I'm sorry, but I couldn't think of a nicer way to say that, and not be lying.
