Help answer this question below.

The virus program I use keeps crashing and won't finish scanning. Is there something I can do without reloading the program?

    This is to robbonz. Thanks for your help. I know I didn't say what virus program I was using. I can say the program I am using is not AVG. I did do the Live Updates and it did do something, but not sure if it really helped. I did do an online scan and it did find some things, but I have no idea how to deal with what it found. The only thing with an online scan is it takes longer than using the virus program. Also you can't do anything else while it's doing the online scan.

    As of Oct 25, 2005 I did find out about the housecall website. I tried to scan the computer like it said and it did find things I had to delete. I hope deleteting them helped. What does the housecall website really do for the computer?

    I did get Ad Aware, but not Spybot last week for the computer. Are you saying it's good to have more than one spyware program on a computer?

    The virus program I use does have a firewall with it. That is why when I went to the site I did I had to turn off the program in order to use it. Not sure what you mean by spybot requesting domains.

    How good is AVG and what does AVG do? Are you saying AVG is free to use. If so I wonder why they do that. I know some things will let you download the program, but in order to continue after it has scaned you have to pay to delete or repair the problem
