Does it matter if your significant other proposes to you without a ring?

    yes it matters. it shows that he cares to get you a special something on a very important occasion. if he can't afford an expensive ring, he could always get a really inexpensive one or just a band. the ring is a symbol. and even tho the most important thing is to be together, i'd be hesitant to marry someone who didnt put in the effort for me, or was so financially unstable that he couldn't put SOMETHING together.
