Both are actually called sluts, I've been called a man-whore and a Cassanova on several occasions (go me). There used to be a negative connotation when a woman was called a slut. Now, not so much. Don't get me wrong, I'm not going to try to compliment a woman by calling her a slut, but that social stigma really isn't there anymore. Would I not date a girl because someone called her a slut? Of course not. Would someone in and older generation have second thoughts? Probably, but you're not trying to date any of them.

    • I wish you were right, but it still has negative connotations, while "man-whore" has positive connotations

    • I don't disagree with that, and the only time I would ever call a girl a slut is when combined with the word "my" and only if I thought she could get that I loved how sexual she was with me and how much I enjoyed being sexual with her.....and never in public, unless the person's ears who heard it knew exactly what I meant. The double standard is unfortunate, but it's what our society has dealt us.

The bottom line is treating your fellow humans like you wish to be treated will never lead to disappointment.
