You will all probably shoot me down for this one but here goes.....
In the gnostic gospel ( not one 100% here so give me a break if i get muddled up ) i think are suppose to be parts missing from the bible, it states that mary and jesus were more than just teacher pupil,
' but christ loved her more than all the deciples and used to kiss her often on the mouth. The rest of the deciples were offended by it and expressed their dissapproval. They said to him 'why do you love her more than all of us?' The saviour answered and said to them, Why do I not love you as i love her?'
Bearing mind what this said and then who wrote the bible, could it not be the people who wrote the bibble dissapproved of Jesus relationship, so left it out of the bible. Those that did approve did write about it but this was dismissed?
I from information i have gathered believe he did have sex, but this would be fround upon so its not an encouraged belief by the church or most who have faith in his divinity.
So many believe in his relations with Mary Magdalene could it too not be correct? Why does Christian, and Catholis beliefes etc, have to be the right religion to believe in.
I say yes he did and there is nothing wrong with it.

See how jealous the deciples were this must have been more than friendship or a display of affection, it is on the mouth and Jesus asks the deciples why he doesnt love them as he loves her.
I guess none of this is evidence or proof unless the gospels are proved to be an accurate account.

    • Kissing was not just a romantic gesture in Hebrew culture. It was a general display of affection between siblings or friends.

    • Dan Brown writes FICTION. The DaVinci Code isn't accurate, it's a potshot at Christianity.

    • Hi texdaman

This 'scripture' is from the Gospel of Philip 63.34-36.

    • First off, all the gnostic gospels or writings are from the 2nd — 4th century AD thus hundreds of years after the New Testament Gospels were written. Thus what is going to be more accurate a biography of your life written by your brother or sister or by someone at least 200 years after you died. (But probably a lot closer to 300 years later.)
These books were not left out but were never considered to be put in. Just as books about another religion were not included. It wasn't a thought to consider. Think if two thousand years from now some Anthropologist are digging through our ancient libraries (assuming the US is long gone by than) and find the book of Mormon the Koran, the Vedas the Harry Potter series and the Holy Bible. After reading each one they would figure out pretty quickly that none of the books are in agreement with the others. So they would not be put into the other as an updated version, but found to be separated by their concepts and ideas. Even though some spoke of similar individuals one could quickly decipher the conceptional differences and realize they wouldn't be in agreement with the text.
Thus the gnostic writings were way after the gospel writings and they were totally averse to the actual historical writings of the followers of Christ, thus common sense would tell one that they aren't accurate nor evidence of the biblical Jesus. One should consider the gnostic writings are of another Jesus not the one from over 200 years before. That would be a much wiser conclusion to ponder.
