It is an opiate. Similar to heroin. It is a painful and dangerous drug to inject.

Major look: Morphine is a very eficient, fast acting pain med. Without Morphine, my grandmother would have suffered a terribly painul lingering death (cancer), it allowed her to stay lucid and talk to her family or 2 months (without pain) until the moment she passed. There is NOTHING wrong with Morphine if it is used for what it is intended. There is nothing 'painul or dangerous ' about it, unless its used ilegaly.

morphine as a drug of addiction..i amend my answer as it was hurried and done at work. It is a very efficient and needed painkiller. I was talking only as a recreational use and addiction. This is an answer I completely forgot about. Heroin is also a brilliant painkiller.
