You're reading I don’t believe in god. So I think when I’m dead I won’t feel anything and just be gone. Mine relatives & friends will miss me and will be sad (that aside). But for me personally it will make no difference. why am I still afraid to die?

You're saying that the "point" is not whether there really is such a thing as an afterlife, but that he believe in an afterlife. Hasn't it always been that way? It doesn't matter if a "god" exists; what's important is that we BELIEVE in god(s).
