Help answer this question below.
I used phentremine and the first week I lost 9 pounds, I did not need to lose too much though I just wanted to lose the extra baby fat I had after having my daughter. I am 5'2 and at the time I started the diet, I weighed about 136lbs. Most of you will say that it's nothing, but it is not healthy for me to be at that weight nor is it very attractive especially because I am so short. During the time I took phentremine I ate no carbs, none whatsoever. This helped me lose the weight faster, of course I also did exercise, at least 15 min a day, I would do a lot of squats, leg presses, and side lifts, since my problem area were my hips and thighs. By the way what I mean about no carbs is no tortillas, pitas, rice, even brown rice, bread, nothing too starchy, not even carrots. Basically it was salad, and meat. For lunch I would normally eat a small chili with cheese from Wendy's, and for dinner I would take a small chicken breast season it with a little hotsauce, cooking wine, salt, pepper, and garlic with a little bit of lemon, and put that in a foil and let it bake in the oven, and ate that with a salad, oil and vinegar as the dressing, make sure the oil is extra virgin though. I would still eat corn though, and in about a month I lost 15lbs. Right now I weigh 121lbs. My goal is 118 so I am just 3lbs shy of my goal, and I have not been on phentremine for a few weeks, the first month on it my doctor told me to be good and not eat any carbs, which is what I did and it worked, after the first month, I gradually allowed myself to have some carbs, just not as much. The good thing about this is that I am not as hungry as I used to be, and now a salad that I used to eat at McDonald's with no problem, I can't finish half of. Your body will fill up a lot quicker. As for the side effects you do get jittery especially if you drink coffee or soda which you should not be doing if you are taking this medication, not even diet soda, just water. Drink a lot of water on the diet, you would be suprised how much retained water you lose just by drinking extra water. I am no longer taking this medication and have noticed that I am still losing weight. Just stick to a healthy diet and one that is low in carbs, like a tortilla wrap, exchange regular rice for brown and try not to eat so much at once. Breaking the meals into smaller ones helps also. But try not having those carbs for the first month and see how you do. If you get hungrier, a big leafy salad or a lot of fruit can be just as filling and contain enough fiber to help you shed that extra weight. I hoped I helped and if you need more advice feel free to email me at penelope1616@aol.com
