Did Hitler speak German with an Austrian accent?

    Althoguh he was born in Austria - it was right on the border with Germany and he spent most of his life in Germany (albeit adult life).

    I think the two accetns are very similar anyway to my English ear. Would be interesting to see what Germans / Austrians think?

    I have always found it interesting that a man with brown hair and brown eyes from Austria could tell Germans that people with Blue eyes and blonde hair are superior to other races. Oh and by the way - I have none of these but I will be your leader.

    (He also told Germany scientists to prove that the Japanese were also Aryans so ...)

    • He did have everything he stated an Aryan was.
      Blonde hair and blue eyes was seen as ''ideal'' an indicator but not what you had to have.
      Hitler had blue eyes, gorgeous blue eyes.
      He was Austrian by Nationality, however Austrians are Ethnic Germans.
      He spoke with a very slight Austrian accent, he spent most of his life around Southern Germany and his birthplace was once ruled by Bavaria which is now in present-Germany.
