Men pee in a communal spot with strangers, women pee in cubicles, mostly on their own. Do you think this has social side effects? What would we be like if women peed in an open environment like the men?

Well some places are open. Go ask someone who was in jail how they felt about peeing in front of everyone while they were in there. Is that why some have switched to the other side? hmmmm...

    • I was once detained by U.S. Border Patrol because they found pot in my car. They took me inside a small building that had 2 cells and an office with 6 desks. I was led into the cell next to the office. There were steel bars on all 3 sides of the cell. There was a younger woman in the next cell to my right. Due to my nervousness, I had to pee. I tried to hold it as there was zero privacy. The toilet was completely open on the right side of the cell with the bunk on the back wall on the left side. There was no toilet seat, and I didn't want to sit down on the toilet. Meanwhile, Border Patrol Agents are passing by to use the door past the 2 cells constantly. The agents seated at the desk were right next to my cell. Finally, I couldn't hold it any longer. I got up from the bunk and stood in front of the toilet. The woman in the next cell looked up at me and I told her "I'm sorry, but I have to go." I unzipped and removed my pen1s. Even with extreme pressure on my bladder, I was so inhibited that it took me almost a minute to relax enough to start to pee. Once I released, it came out with great force and made a lot of noise. I could hear the agents in the office roar with laughter as everyone in the building heard me peeing. Everyone stopped what they were doing and watched me. At that point, I didn't care. If they don't want to provide privacy, then they're going to see and hear me pee. I must have peed for 2 minutes. The woman in the next cell was highly amused and watched me the entire time. After a few hours, I was released and had to pay a fine. When I look back on it, it was actually fun to pee right out in the open like that with 10 people watching, but it would be better not to be in a jail to do it.
