Do you have to be 'saved' to become a member of a Baptist Church?

    I dont understand the act of being voted in by the members of the church when in Acts 2:47, it speaks of those who heard the gospel, believed, repented, confessed Christ Jesus, and was baptized were added to the Lord's church daily. Everyone has some sort of reputation, but in Christ's eyes, it no longer matters because that is what he died for.
