How should I develop more realistic expectations for relationships?

    for that, you need to understand the situation better, apply your mind instead of your heart on the situation, analyze it.
    pros and cons and possible worst case and best case outcomes.
    If you put your thoughts, you emotions will be in control.
    still you can love or have expectationas, but at the end of the day, you will be aware of the situation.

    actually expectations come natuarally in any realtionship as you go further....
    but best thing to avoid it, just remember, love is all about giving not expecting.
