Help answer this question below.

When driving over 50 mph, my car makes a loud humming noise. New tires did not help. What could cause this?

    This may sound silly ,but do you have any flags attached to the outside of your car?

    • WOW,... thanks for suggesting this!!! the noise started yesterday,and after much googling i assumed it was indeed the wheel bearings.

      Until i read this post,having only installed a 'jolly roger' aerial flag the 2 things seemed more than coincidence, i removed flag drove 50mph+ and ........ NOTHING CAR SOUNDED FINE :D

      it doesnt need to be a flag but could be anything vibrating in the wind so have a think people it may not be serious
