Where did the expression 'Luck of the seven Mongolian rabbits' come from?

  • Many many moons ago, back in Mongolia, there lived 7 little bunnies. They ran around through neighborhoods and which ever yard they ate grass in, the entire family had good luck for the rest of their days.

    • Mmmmm...sounds a bit of a fairy story JuJu....I thought maybe they were not really lucky rabbits because I never think of Mongolia having plenty of grass!

    • Maybe they were lucky because they were the only male rabbits and there were hundreds of females! LOL

    • Well, you see, there wasn't enough grass, so they took rabbits feet from all of the other rabbits (they called them lucky rabbit's feet), but they didn't know that the 7 ramaining rabbits were really the lucky ones. Because the other rabbits couldn't really get around Mongolia with only 3 feet and they perished.

    • But some of them managed to make it into the stew pot.
