Dystrophic Calcification (D.C.) is the mineralization of soft tissue without a systemic mineral imbalance. This occurs as a reaction to tissue damage, including as a consequence of medical device implantation.
inter-hemispherical, means it would be inside the skull itself and very close to the brain if not the brain itself, versus a subdural hemorrhage which would be right under the layer of skin and on the outside of the skull.
A hematoma, or haematoma, is a collection of blood, generally the result of hemorrhage, or, more specifically, internal bleeding. Hematomas exist as bruises (ecchymoses), but can also develop in organs.

    information based off http://www.wikipedia.com

When I was 15 months old I was in a car accident... I was the only one out of 5 people seriously injured... I suffered a skull fracture and subdural hemotoma... I was in a coma for 3 days, and in intensive care for 3 weeks...
Before the accident I could walk, talk, formulate questions, count... pretty much all the basic 2 year old functions... After the accident I was in physical therapy, speach development, seeing a psychiatrist or doctor everyday for 5 years... at 18 months i was diagnosed with ADD, ODD and depression, they prescribed me rittalen (however it is spelled) and all I would do is sit on the floor and rock back and forth for hours... I was on that for 3 months... when I was in first grade I stopped going to the doctors...

    • Thanks, by your answer, it looks like your functioning OK now and I hope you are in good health, that was quite a trauma for a child to go through.I recieved my injury as an Adult some 15 years ago, but I still suffer from PTSD, its been a long haul.

    • Thankyou for the concern, and I am doing pretty good. I'm still ADD and ODD, but I have learned how to get around those annoyances... for the most part...
