Why did Joseph Smith need to publish HIS extra-Biblical Book of Moses when one already existed? Why didn't he just publish the existing one?

Actually, it was four others that saw Moroni. The Three Witnesses whose testimony is in the BofM and David Witmer's mother.

AND, they didn't see the plates with their Physical eyes. They later claimed that they saw them with their "Spiritual Eyes" whatever the hell that means.
