A dog, pitbull or otherwise is only as mean as it's owner. on the AKC list of 40 dogs most involved in attacks or bites to people, you will not find the american pitbull terrier on that list.contrary to popular belief the pitbull actully is considered to be a very good dog to have for a family. the incidents of attack are few in number, however, due to the severe damage these dogs can inflict when they do attack it often makes for sensational news reporting, which causes public opinion to form misconceptions about the breed that is not deserved.
