My motorcycle is 'being repaired' at a shop run out of a house. It has been there for months and they won't return my calls. When I go to his house, no one is ever home but I can see my motorcycle in the back. What steps should I take to get it back?

It depends. If there's been work done on the bike and you take it back, that's theft of services. Please tell me you have an estimate that outlines the repair and time frame of this job.

If not, you can try the police but this is really a civil issue and most cops won't touch it. You best route is to file a small claims suit against the person. Being served has a way of getting people to return phone calls. Even if he doesn't, you can see him in court and demand the bike back. Good luck.
