Why is everyone ignoring global warming?

    Lol.
    Because, through the Earths' entirity, we go through constand cycles of Global Cooling & Global warming. Semesters in Biology, well, let me sum it up. Ice ages, and droughts for example. It's all very complex. Just realize there's not that much excess Carbon Dioxide.(In comparisn to the HYPE) Why don't you complain about the rainforests being torn down? Something with more substance. We can't prove a detrimental bout of heating, by the way, it's all just theory.

    The real question is, WHY does Al Gore get over 300,000,000 yearly for this Global Hoax? Do a little research on the guy & his motivation for involvement --I DARE you.

    • Do a little more research of your own. The majority of scientists can and often have been wrong. Just look at what the majority of scientists have been saying about climate change for the past century (http://www.businessandmedia.org/specialreports/2006/fireandice/fireandice.asp). They have been predicting doom, but keep switching back and forth between global cooling or global warming. They are even getting ready for the next reversal in temperature by saying that global warming is going to bring in global cooling.

      Give me a break. Climate is an immensely complicated field that we still don't really understand.

    • Yes, I've read the disinformation too. And I've seen the quality of the counter-arguments... the burden is now very firmly on those who say there's no danger, because they're putting the rest of us in danger (and our children) with this sloppy disinformation campaign. I've heard enough and I'm not taking it anymore.

    • Check out your credentials? You are a speech and debate coach, a nurse, you say you are getting a PhD in microbiology and you believe everything came about from intelligent design. Wow. Not to be rude but I don't see where the speech and debate coach makes you qualified for this. What kind of climate research have you done for your PhD in microbiology and what did you learn about climate science in your nursing education?

    • Agreed for the most part. Al Gore isn't in it for the money, though...he likes the attention. Global warming is a part of the earth cycle. Technically, we are still in an ice age as we still have glaciers. Ice ages don't last forever, nor should they.

      I've had Answerbag.com for years.

      I worked my BS in Chemistry, in which I minored in Environmental Studies.
      After taking an intro in Microbiology, I was highly interested in Nursing. Decided that it wasn't for me, so I stayed in Microbiology.
      I went with Microbiology & finish my dissertation in about half a year in Bacterial Chemotaxy.
      Yes, I was a Debate & Speech Coach - performed State wide all throughout highschool & got invited to almost 90 schools to coach after I graduated. My performances landed me many invitations to have a full ride scholarship. I also did Mock Trial, Science Club, & what have you.
