Can a person be too nice? elaborate please.

    Unfortunately, yes they can. The result is that they get on your nerves because they're hovering around trying to find ways to please you. If it's someone you don't know all that well, you become suspicious of their motives - why are they being so nice to me? What do they really want? The overly nice person isn't doing themselves any favours.
