If Qaurter horses are the fastest why dont we use THEM in big races?? Thoroubreds and Arabians are the fastest.

We DO use them in big races...All distances aside, when you narrow it down to the actual miles per hour that the horse can reach, the quarter horse is by far the fastest. The ones that are cometitive enough to run in the BIG races can reach speeds up to 50+MPH...The quarter horse can cover 1/4 mile in LESS THAN 20 seconds, Your thoroughbreds will go around 23...Look it up in some of your race results and you will see I'm right.
