You're reading If Jet Li and Bruce Lee Fought each other who would win?
Comments
I have read what everyone here has to say on this topic...most go with Bruce Lee, and that's no surprise to me, for 2 reasons...1.people in general are pretty stupid(just look at any election). And 2.Bruce Lee has been elevated to an unrealistic iconic stature(people grew-up hearing Bruce Lee is the best martial artist that ever lived, and so that must be the truth... right? In reality Bruce Lee was a marketing tool, used to promote "chop-socky" films on a N.American audience! Please don't misunderstand me here, I have nothing but respect for the man. For his size and weight, Bruce Lee was in the top 1 percentile of the world! One of his noted feats was...at 160 pounds he curled(an unheard of)225 pounds, 2 times. So if the question was: Who was the stronger between Bruce Lee & Jet Li? Then hands down, Bruce Lee wins! I have also seen many people say that Jet Li is nothing but a movie star...simply put; he's just an actor!!! This is true in Jackie Chan's place, NOT in Jet Li's. Something that hasn't been mentioned by anyone here is that Jet Li is the only person ever to win the international Wushu competition 7 times(his 1st when he was just 12 years old, competing against men(in some fights)that were in their mid to late 20's!!! Bruce Lee only won this same competition 3 times.I have also read how Jet Li is only trained in Wushu...this is just NOT true, listed below are some styles Jet is a "MASTER" in...
Li is a master of several styles of wushu, especially Changquan (Northern Longfist Style) and Fanziquan (Tumbling fist). He has also studied other arts including Baguazhang (Eight trigram palm), Taijiquan (Tai chi), Xingyiquan (Shape intent fist), Zuiquan (Drunken fist), Yingzhaoquan (Eagle claw fist) and Tanglangquan (Praying mantis fist). He did not learn Nanquan (Southern fist), because his training focused only in the Northern Shaolin Styles. He has also studied some of wushu's main weapons, such Sanjiegun (Three section staff), Gun (staff), Dao (Broadsword), Jian (Straight sword) and many more. So the answer to the question is Jet Li would win hands down, and 1 billion Chinese people agree!
