Is antibacterial soap harmful?

    New research does suggest that Triclosan, an ingredient in some toothpastes and antibacterial soaps, might be harmful since it can interact with chlorine in tap water to become chloroform. How harmful is it in those amounts? The jury's still out, so to speak. However, it's worth considering. Triclosan is listed on ingredients lists of soaps and toothpaste (no list probably means no Triclosan).
