    • Oh, they do it by choice. You should have seen mine in the off season. That's all they wanted to do. It's what they've been breed to do for thousands of years. And as for the whip, they usally don't hit the horse at all. It's more of a flash by the eyes. And getting caught just whacking away would get you in deep trouble.

    • What was the horse doing before man decided to catch him? ... brake his spirit ... put a saddle on him and race him for money? ... I think he was a free animal like the lion and the bear ... But yes you are correct they are purpose bred these days to suit the entertainment of humans ....... Horse says : let's go guys, the humans want to have a day at the track ... break a leg!... wave a whip at a human and they will pick cotton for you too ... not a nice ... Mmmm? ... I have horses ... Please don't be offended by my sarcasm ... Thanks

    • Not. Just woundering if you ever handled a racehorse. I used to care for them in high school. Their spirt is definityly not broken. Mine were always bright eyed and bushy tailed. A horse won't do anything it doesn't want to. We had one that flat out refused to hit the gas on the home streach. We sold him as a saddle horse. And in any sport they're always the risk of the horse breaking it's leg. Even in trail riding like I do now. And all horse sports are for the entertainment of humans.

    • My answer is not anti-horse owners ... as I have stated ... I myself own Qaurter horses ... what my answer means, is if the horse could talk I am sure he would say not today I want to stay in my field (paddock, pasture) if I do race for you, please leave the whip at home ... Thankyou pasobrio ... I will list a picture of my Q horse stallion ... Flynn

    • He's gorgeouse. And they'd all say that. They're just like us, lazy at heart. And you've got to stop focusing on that whip. They don't really hit the horse with it. Like I said you getcaught just smaking away and you've got ten stewards taking your licsense away. They use it as an aid just like pleasure and show riders do, not an instrament of torchure.
