Why is there always someone on AB who takes the opposite point of view for the sake of starting an argument?

Why do some American AB users criticise, mock and belittle the British? It happens on here far more often than the other way round.

If AB users really must harass other users, why don't they pick on the ones who are also guilty of harassment?

Why do people who post offensive comments object to us sending them messages pertaining to that?

You're reading Why do we keep feeding trolls points? don't you know that we are supposed to starve the trolls until they shrivel up and dissipate.

I didn't forget....They just love me (lol)

They love you so much that a troll herd comes by and wreaks havoc!

I've got troll lovers and troll haters (lol), and they love wreaking havoc, not just on my page, but in comment treads, and on almost every question that I post....It use to bother me, but why? if someone i don't even know is that jealous, let them eat up my points...and as they do, i laugh in their faces in comment threads (literally) and make up the points they stold....So whose the idiots? In the end they are.

I don't mind the downrates so much but when they have to crash your answer and make mean comments is where I draw the line. The AB staff can erase any and all mean comments. Just email them.

I throw it back in their face (in a nice way) and they take off running every time....It's actually funny, and there's more regular ABers that do it than trolls.
by Jen-Jen on April 13th, 2008
Yes, some regular users can act trollish at times.
There is a difference there.
by Kevisaurus is a Carnotaurus today on April 13th, 2008
where is the difference? why can't a regular aber be a troll? or even a sock puppet? i maybe missing something here, because i think they can be both those things.....if i'm wrong, please tell me how, and why i am.
by Jen-Jen on April 13th, 2008
It is all a matter of semantics.
It could be that a regular user who rates questions high all of a sudden snaps and assaults someone with DRs, then goes back to being a user who acts civil. This has happened to me.
snaps and trolls just one

I've gotten pissed at someones nasty answer and d/red them for it...And if thats a troll so am I. But there's something you didn't mention...we've got boyfriend/girlfriends on here...who are more than capable of ganging up, and D/Ring without losing their percentages enough for us to notice.
by Jen-Jen on April 13th, 2008
I know that's deplorable.
A well deserved downrate is one thing on the odd
occasion but just whacking people for no good reason but
pure spite is quite another.

I am someone who loves to figure out a mystery, and to me trolls are....only because they hide in the dark, and I know how they do it....I may never know their names, but I've figured out the game
by Jen-Jen on April 13th, 2008
If I get a -5, I consider this a high troll alert.
I then go to the AB home page and try to look at the recent points awarded by about 6 people I suspect who may have done this to me.
I have yet to find a high level troll though.
If you have any valuable intel about users, you can give me their
user ID number so I can track the actions of the person and possibly report them via email to the AB staff for punitive actions.
Don't use names, becasue the user number is 100% accurate in determining who's who.
All the best Jen-Jen.
