If you can, join at acting group at school (or get one started if there isn't one) or join community acting groups.

If you parents are totally against you joining such a group, practice alone in front of friends, a mirror, or, better yet, a video camera if you have access. Online you can find a lot of sites with monologues perfect for practicing and later, auditioning. Take time to learn specialized vocabulary associated with theater and video. Also, watch lots of movies and t.v. That probably won't be hard, but while you do so, pay close attention to how the actors and actresses develop a character through facial expressions and how they talk. If you can, go see some plays as well.

Hopefully, your parents will come around once they see you want to study acting seriously, as a craft, and not just be famous.
