How long does it take(like years or something) for humans to completely adapt to their surroundings?

    The human body adapts relatively quickly for various environments. I remember reading a while back that the body only takes about 2 weeks to adapt to certain situations and surroundings, such as significant temperature changes, different oxygen levels, gravity, etc. If we didn't, we wouldn't be nearly as successful as we have been on this planet.

    There is currently quite a bit of research being done in this field. And I've come across some of it in various scientific journals I read regularly.
