When you were young did you cut grass to make money?

    I really like this one, yes I did!

    I'd only get my allowance if I did the garden and washed the cars. My parents are people who insist on the principle "nothing for nothing".

    I'd also go around the neighbourhood pressure washing other people's driveways and patios. Actually made quite a bit of money doing that. The pressure washer cost me $600 but I managed to get a return on investment after one 3 weeks, and I was only 14.

    • It sure does pay well! I was even charging only about 60% of what a "professional" would charge and on top of that I'm such a perfectionist that I wouldn't leave any spot untouched :)

    • Depends on the size of the driveway, they were quite big in our neighbourhood. I would estimate it was about 20' by 30' so like 600 sq. feet. That would take about 5 hours but gets you like $100 or even more.
