Why would my dog to rub his nose on the carpet?

    My boxers always tend to do this after playing in the yard.

    To add to Speedy's opinion, your dog might have some sort of irritant on its snout or nose, be it dirt, or other similiar materials. He may just be attempting to get rid of it by rubbing it against something because he may not be able to do so with his paws.
