How do I fade my drawings to a 3-D effect and give them more detail?

    a 3d effect can be acheived by using shading and shadows, also...it has a lot to do with the color (if any) being used...If you are using color, in order to make things appear to 'pop' off the page at you, you want to use contrasting colors on top of each other....in other words a bright red over a blue with some shading, shadows and the correct perspective-and viola!

    With pencil drawings, or black & white...the same theory applies...although there is no color to help things pop off the page, the shading and different tones can acheive the same effects...
