    Technically, Revelation *doesn't* mention a lamb lying next to a lion. Most people confuse this verse in Isaiah 11:6:

    The wolf will live with the lamb,
    the leopard will lie down with the goat,
    the calf and the lion and the yearling together;
    and a little child will lead them. (NIV)

    Several others have given excellent answers about the figurative nature of the verse, indicating peace - and the possibility that there will be different animals in heaven... This verse neither supports nor denies the possibility of animals going to heaven.
